Connecting Management with the Financial Community at the 27th World Gas Conference

For the first time ever, the World Gas Conference (WGC) will feature a Financial Forum, designed to bring together members of the global financial community with representatives of energy companies whose shares are publicly traded on stock exchanges around the world, or are pre-IPO or seeking funding.

Through an organized system of one-on-one meetings and other opportunities for senior executives and the financial community to interact, the WGC Financial Forum will provide a unique, “one-stop shopping” opportunity to connect and discuss the key issues affecting the industry as well as individual companies.

The shares of many of the 600 participating companies are publicly traded on a variety of stock exchanges across the globe.  It is anticipated that WGC 2018 will attract a significant representation from all aspects of the financial community – analysts, portfolio managers, wealth advisors, bankers, rating agencies and others.

During the conference sessions, there will be the opportunity to hear from the most senior energy industry executives addressing all of the key issues affecting the energy industry.  And, at the same time, through the WGC Financial Forum, they will have the opportunity to meet personally with senior executives of most of the domestic and international publicly traded energy companies, in one location at one time – the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in the heart of Washington, DC.  A list of the participating companies will be published as it is developed.

Senior financial and investor relations executives from the publicly traded WGC participating companies, as well as pre-IPO or start-ups, will have the opportunity to meet with hundreds of representatives of the financial community, both on an informal basis at their stands in the Exhibition, as well as at the organized financial community event that will occur through the WGC Financial Forum.

In recognition of the key role played by the global financial community in the development of the gas industry, a Financial Advisory Board has been formed, designed to provide input into the key financial and regulatory issues facing the development of the gas industry around the world.  This Board will also oversee the first ever WGC Financial Forum, providing an opportunity for analysts, bankers and portfolio managers across the globe to meet with dozens of publicly traded energy, gas and energy related companies in one location at one time – WGC 2018.
