Jeremy has worked for the Australian Energy Regulator (AER) since it commenced in 2005.
Since 2005 Jeremy has overseen the AER’s performance and compliance monitoring of five new domestic gas spot commodity markets across East Coast Australia, introduced to facilitate more efficient natural gas trade. Through the AER, he participates in twice yearly meetings of the international Energy Intermarket Surveillance Group, the peak international group for coordination between energy market surveillance and enforcement bodies.
More recently he has also worked for the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) as a specialist industry advisor to its Gas inquiries. Directed by the Australian Government, the ACCC has been examining and making recommendations on the competitive dynamics of Australia’s natural gas supply chain - spanning exploration through to domestic and international LNG use.
He has a Bachelor of Economics and Law degree from the University of Tasmania.
