Fernando was born in 1969 in Madrid, has a degree in Economics and Industrial Organization from the Madrid Autonomous University, obtained a Master in Business Administration in 1996 from ESADE-Wharton and completed the Esade-Wharton Advanced Management Program in 2010.
With more than 15 years of experience in the Gas sector; he has been Commercial & Logistics Director at Enagás responsible for commercialization, marketing and logistics operations of infrastructures as well as technical services in the areas of LNG plants, gas transportation and underground storage, he is also coordinator of the “Core LNGas HIVE” Project.
This past November first, he was appointed General Director of Open Innovation and Corporate Entrepreneurship at Enagás, as a result of the incorporation of new competences for the future of Enagás through entrepreneurship and open innovation which focus on the development of natural gas markets (small scale, commercial transport models, etc.), as well as the study of new energies (Biogas, Hydrogen, etc.) and technologies.
Fernando in turn is a member of the management boards of Swedegas, a Swedish gas company, of Saggas, operator of Sagunto LNG Terminal, as well as a member of LNG Group of International Gas Union (IGU) and a collaborating professor at the Energy Delta Institute and Carlos III University.
